What is an .ipa file? An .ipa file is a file that iTunes can recognize as application files which you actually can drop into the applications library in iTunes. Once you drop these files into iTunes, you will be able to sync them onto your iPod touch or iPhone. This is very easy to do, you just need to follow this video and make and install iTunes 7.7.0. iTunes 7.7.1 or newer will not work with syncing cracked applications on to your iPhone/iPod touch. You will definitely need iTunes 7.7.0 in order for the cracked applications to sync on to your iPhone/iPod touch successfully and work properly. Make sure you go in to your “My Music” folder and save or backup your ‘iTunes” folder so you
don’t lose your music and everything you have on iTunes now. Just save that folder somewhere safe or on your desktop so you can replace the iTunes folder with your backup “saved iTunes folder” after you uninstall your current iTunes and download iTunes 7.7.0. (Warning) Once you have successfully uploaded all your “.ipa” files (cracked applications), you are ready to sync them on to your iPhone/iPod touch. Unfortunately Apple Inc. has a limit to how many pages of application we can have on our iPhone/iPod touch. We have a maximum of 9 pages that can be filled with applications, this does include the native applications from Apple too. Not including the applications on the Dock, you figure you will have 16 applications on a page multiplied by 9 pages and that is how many applications you can have on the SpringBoard total. So subtract the number of Native applications from Apple and the applications you have installed
from Cydia Installer and Installer 4.0 and that will be the number of applications you can sync on to your iPhone/iPod touch to avoid getting an error on iTunes.
Okay, now that you have figured out how many applications you can sync on
to your iPhone/iPod touch, go ahead and choose the “selected applications” choice rather than “sync all applications” now check the box on the right of each application you want to sync on to your iPhone/iPod touch. Once you are done with your selections, tap on either the “Sync” button or the “Apply” button. iTunes will try to start “backing up files”. If this occurs, you have two options,
a) Let iTunes backup your files and then iTunes will automatically start the syncing process. (Which can take up to 5 hours depending on your Internet connection.)
OR
b) You can stop the “backing up files” process by clicking on the little “X” on the right side of the “backing up files” located on the status bar at the top. This will end the “backing up files” process and start syncing your applications. It may take a minute or two after ending the “backing up files” process before you see that the status bar shows your applications syncing on to your iPhone/iPod touch so be patient and just wait. If you did everything successfully, you should have an
iPhone/iPod touch full of great Appstore applications for free.
